Key West And An Organic Read

Hey, cool day in Key West today with lots of wind. So winter has returned once again. But I cannot complain as the skies are a Caribbean Blue. Thank You Mother Nature and the Gods of Heaven ! Also want to thank them as they have been doing a terrific job on the moon the past few nights.

Just finished a good book by Joan Dye Gussow, "This Organic Life - Confessions of a Suburban Homesteader". Not only is it a good read for the organic gardening crews out there, but it is about Mother Nature and one couple's ups and downs with her. Joan really educates us on why we need to care about and how to care about what we eat. She is very passionate and cares so much about the environment, our planet, and the way we live. The book is a little about alot. She tells her story, and the book reads like a novel, but also she shares some of her recipes from the goodies that she harvests from her garden. It also has bits of history, a little science, a few gardening instructions and just a tinge of politics included.

This is one serious lady when it comes to her garden. When I finished reading this, I went right outside and made sure my tiny garden was happy. Very inspiring !

Cheers!
