Back Into The Creative Mode

Hello to all! Well the "creative juices" have leaped into action, but not in the food department. I am into being creative with my paint brush instead of a spatula. After almost 2 years, I picked up my brushes, paint, and canvases and I am back painting. The lady with the green hat has been the focus of my attention this past week and is taking shape. Hopefully I will be finished with her within the next week or so and will gladly introduce you to her at that time.

The garden is surviving our summer sun so far with 88 degree days and nights getting down to 82. That sun is HOT! Some of the herbs and peppers are loving the bright, hot and long days of summer, but not much else in the veggie department. I am sure though that the rest of you up north are starting to reap the rewards of your gardens about now. Would like to hear what is ready in your garden!

Speaking of gardens, I must go for now as I think I hear quite a few of my residents shouting for a bit of water!

Cheers!

Deb,
You are an amazingly talented person! This painting is fantastic - I love the perspective and colours. I am looking forward to meeting her when she is complete. I used to sketch, draw and sometimes paint a lot as a child & teenager, but somehow that dwindled in my adulthood. I've always though I might go back to those medium someday. Someday!

have a wonderful weekend. I am off to meet Gordan Ramsay today - i am so excited! Yes, I am a Gordan Groupie...

xx nora

Deb - yes. Paint. I am so pleased you've pickd up paint and brush again.

Wish I could do the same, but it just won't come. Glad you're happy with it - she looks serene.

Updates on her progress, please!

Hi Deb! Good to see you're back. Creative juices are always good in all departments.

We have some pretty hot summer days as well and it's getting harder and harder to endure the temperatures.

Can't wait to see your painting when it's done :)

I can't wait to see the lady in the green hat once she is completed...although she looks in pretty good shape already. I always admire people with so many talents as you have:D

Hi Deb,

Gordan Ramsay: well, he was quite far away from me unfortunately during the cooking demo at the celebrity theater that was part of the Sydney Good Food and Wine Show yesterday. I wished that I could meet him personally, or I at least get a photo with him after the cooking demo but his popularity is growing so rapidly, the crowd was so thick and boisterous that I couldn't even get through to the front during the book signing. :-( Never mind...he's opening a restaurant in Sydney or Melbourne and also doing a TV show here as well ( starts filming around Christmas time).

Hi Maryann!

Hi Nora, Gordon Ramsey - WOW!

Hey Lucy, she is quite mellow isn't she!

Thanks Cathy - the hat seems to be the big hit!

Hi Johanna, thanks for the kind words!

Hi Jen, bet you could, as that is how I started!

Thanks Lore, stay cool!

Hey Valli, you are so sweet, thanks for your support!

Hey Holler, never thought of the 20's, but you are right!

Glad you are well and fine! Thank you for leaving me a note about your well being. BTW, I flew through Cincy, Columbus and Cleveland for various fun and work travel in Ohio. The weather was actually chilly in August in the Columbus area. Thought of you while watching weather about Fay in my hotel room in Ohio, and wondering if you were in Ohio to get away from it all.
